Mary Beth Melendez, Grief Counselor/Care Giving, and Matt Kiefer from Emma’s Place presented to the members of the South Shore Rotary Club, a grief and loss center for children and families. Staffed by professional counselors, hospice workers, community physicians, trained facilitators and volunteers and other area professionals who have been working with Staten Island families for years.
Emma’s Place provides the tools for bereaved individuals to move through the darkness of their pain and loss to the light of healing, hope and a meaningful life.
