South Shore Assemblyman Michael Reilly attended our weekly meeting as the Our Lady Star of the Sea (OLSS) Archery Team presented a generous donation in memory of member Frank Cilento, who recently passed away.

Michael and Mary Hardman and their sons, Scott and Daniel, represented the archery team. Michael and Assemblyman Reilly worked together with the NYPD in the 67th Precinct.

Frank, who was a cherished member of the Staten Island community and a past President of the South Shore Rotary, passed away in October. His wife, Maria, is an 8th-grade teacher at OLSS.

As President of the South Shore Rotary, Frank participated in the international exchange program, hosting a student from Argentina for a year. He also delivered numerous turkey baskets as part of the annual Thanksgiving turkey basket donation and was a big supporter of PS 37. The South Shore Rotary continued Frank’s tradition this year of presenting chocolate Santas to students at the school.

The OLSS Archery Team’s tournament, aimed at supporting OLSS family members who have lost loved ones, is a testament to the community spirit that Frank embodied. Their generous donation in his memory not only honors his contributions but also extends his legacy of compassion and support.
