Our Rotary recently supported the the JCC's DYCD-funded Adolescent Literacy program at I.S. 61. The program helps students strengthen their communication and reading skills while exploring literacy through leadership. They recently visited DYCD to present their projects, and our club funded their professional attire for the presentation.
This week, South Shore Rotary welcomed guest speaker Mike DiTrani, the President of the S.I. History Hunters Metal Detecting Club. Mike spoke to us about all the interesting pieces he's found through metal detecting and how they connect to American history. Thanks to Mike for joining us!
