Members of the South Shore Rotary Club were buzzing as they served as judges for the PS 22 Spelling Bee.
President Rosemarie Sienicki and Rosemarie Dressler helped the Graniteville elementary school select the top three performers.
Ariel Serrano won first place and received a $75 Barnes & Noble gift card. Brad Zuniga was second and won a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card, while Ryan Ruiz took third for a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card. The gift cards were donated from the South Shore Rotary Club.
South Shore Rotary Club members Mary Cibelli, Bob DiGennaro, Dressler, and Jon Salmon have attended the Spelling Bee for numerous years. Cibelli, DiGennaro, and Dressler attended this year’s event.
Former South Shore Rotary Club President Debra Ferrara and Jackie Rehak, a friend of the Rotary, who taught at PS 22 for 20 years, were also in attendance.
Congratulations to all the students who participated!
